The Move Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and coordinating shipments of personal effects and/or general cargo from point A to point B worldwide. Serving as the single point of coordination for the assigned move he/she will be managing the process and vendors in order to achieve the highest quality standards. 

Main Job Responsibilities: 

• Manage Domestic and International files to include coordinating move dates, organizing packing/delivery crews, booking transport and ancillary services such as parking permits, external elevators, handyman services, assisting accounts department with financial information on files, etc. 

• Check completed paperwork, returning to the account and keeping an orderly filling system, flagging any repeated problems with completed paperwork / job sheets 

• Maintain good communication with customers and vendors

• Build and maintain customer confidence

• Protect operations and organization’s value by keeping information confidential

• Monitor shipments from sources to worldwide markets

• Monitor fleet deals and special movements until the shipment has reached final destination

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Any other regular or ad-hoc duties and reporting required by supervisor and/or group managers

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to priorities and organize workload effectively

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset

• Be self-motivated and action oriented

• Ability to work within a team structure while delivering strong customer service

• Computer literate and ability to learn new applications quickly

• High accuracy and quality with attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment

• Telephone skills and etiquette

• Maturity, professionalism and high level of discretion is required

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Shipping / logistics knowledge and experience working in an international environment would be an asset
